Strength Series | Overhead Foundations Workshop

August 16 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
$25

Whether your goal is building strength, improving shoulder mobility, reducing discomfort, or simply feeling more confident pressing weight overhead, the overhead position is one of the most valuable—and often misunderstood—movements you can develop.

At Peak Human Performance, we’re hosting an in-person Overhead Foundations Workshop designed to help you better understand what it takes to achieve a strong, stable, and efficient overhead position. Together, we’ll identify what may be limiting your movement and help you find the pressing variations that best fit your body and goals.

This workshop isn’t just about pressing more weight overhead. It’s about learning how your shoulders, upper back, core, and hips work together to create a safe and powerful overhead position.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll cover:

  • Proper overhead positioning and pressing mechanics
  • Shoulder blade movement and stability
  • Core bracing and rib cage positioning
  • Common mobility limitations involving the shoulders, thoracic spine, and lats
  • How individual anatomy influences overhead movement
  • Differences between overhead press variations (barbell, dumbbell, kettlebell, landmine, etc.) and when to use each
  • Warm-up, mobility, and stability drills that actually improve your overhead position

Whether you’re brand new to strength training, struggle with shoulder discomfort, have trouble getting your arms overhead, or simply want to refine your technique, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are.

Our goal is simple:

Help you better understand your body so you can move overhead with greater strength, confidence, and control.

You don’t need to be an experienced lifter to attend. This workshop is for anyone looking to move better, train smarter, and build a stronger foundation for long-term health and performance.

Come learn, move, ask questions, and discover what it truly takes to build a strong overhead position with the Peak team.
